As part of our 25th anniversary celebration, 17 RKIDs attended the Solas performance at Blackrock Center for the Arts. They gathered at Ruby Tuesday’s for a celebration meal where Evan gave a toast to the group. A good time all around!! Those who attended were: Tom, Sonja, Karen (our newest member), Kate, Madelyn, Bill, Evan, Obie, Peggy W (former member), Sharon P, Kevin and Liz, Marilyn O, Sandy, Dan O’C, Jean and Joe W, Dan and Nancy. In the audience we also saw Cathy R., a former member, and some dancers from the EIC.

Get your costume ready (or not) for the Blackthorn Ceili Dancers’ Ceili on Friday, October 30, 7 – 10:30. Music by Philippe, Tina, and Marc. $15 admission. It’s a potluck---bring a dish to share. The RKIDs will be honored for our 25 years of grouphood.

There are two ways to be a part of the Ring of Kerry Irish Dancers. You can pay $50 a semester and participate in classes and all events OR you can be a Friend of the RKIDS, pay $20 per year, and participate in all RKID events. To date, our Friends are: Kevin and Liz, Joan O’C, Judy A, and MaryAnn (one of the original RKIDs!). More information about this is here.

MaryAnn and her husband, Dick, are in New Hampshire celebrating Halloween with family. What’s so scary about New Hampshire?

Gerry was on the road again. This time she visited Williamsburg, Yorktown, and Jamestown and (re)learned all the history of the area. She had a wonderful trip and enjoyed the beautiful weather and scenery.

Marilyn O was on the opposite end of Virginia, but had the same beautiful weather and scenery. She and some friends drove the entire length of the Skyline Drive and a short bit of the BlueRidge Parkway. They stayed at a beautiful cabin in the woods.

Oh Shenandoah ...
