Date: Saturday March 7, 2026 Time: 12:30 - Location: The parade starts at King St. and Alfred St. then goes east on King St., finishing at the corner of King and Lee Streets. Closest Metro is the blue line, King St/Old Town stop. Details: Alexandria boasts the first St. Patrick's Day Parade in the DC area. Traditionally, this parade is held the first Saturday in March, and serves to attract the finest entries. 15 Fairfax City Parks & Rec: Ceili Sponsor/Host: Fairfax City Parks & Rec What: Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with Irish Social dancing. It will be the only such ceili in Northern Virginia. Dancers of all levels are invited to step onto the dance floor to live music by the Shepherd's Pie Ceili Band. Date: Sunday March 15, 2026 Time: 3:00 - 5:00 pm Location: Blenheim Civil War Historic Center, 3610 Blenheim Blvd. Fairfax, Va. 22030 Details: Admission: $12/adults, $6/12 years and under. Wear light shoes. Experienced dancers will be on hand to guide beginners. It was a time before rural electrification, the telephone, and indoor plumbing; a time when the main modes of travel were bicycle and animal cart; a time when small farmers struggled to survive and turkey eggs were hatched in the kitchen cupboard; a time when the Church exerted enormous control over Ireland.
