 Club Events

On a freezing cold night, Tuesday, Jan. 19th, 37 members of the RKIDs showed up for class. The postal service likes to say that “Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night stays these couriers from the swift completion of their appointed rounds.”  But the RKIDs say, “Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor freezing temperatures keeps us from learning the Clare Lancers.” We have a lot more fun than the postal service. But since the forecast snow event for this weekend is so large, check with our website to make sure that we'll have class next Tuesday, the 26th.

After a lively class, Roger, Dan O’C, Kate, Maureen, Chuck, Tom, Sonja, Marilyn, and Obie gathered at the Dogfish Head Alehouse to review the intricacies of the Plain Set. Join us next week when we will review the pros and cons of -- well, we’ll come up with something. If the snow doesn't stop us.

 About Town

About Town

Roger ran into an old friend at the Glen Echo Contra Dance recently. Susan Gunther was a member a long time ago along with her mother, Betty, a great dancer. Susan now has six children!!

There are lots of good movies out right now. Dan O’C, Kate, and Marilyn O recommend Concussion. Based on true events, the film reveals the mental problems some football players have after years of playing---and the NFL’s effort to cover up the issue.
