News about the RKIDs

Club News
The Woodside Deli was again the scene of the Once-A-Month RKID Breakfast group on Sunday, May 1. The brunchers were: Tom, Sonja, Dan O’C, Kate, Maura, Jean Wds., Madelyn and Bill.
On Saturday, May 7th the RKIDs will be participating in the Germantown Flea Market. Lots of members have already given Tom and Sonja items for the sale. If you have something to donate, please bring it to class this Tuesday, and Marilyn O. will kindly take custody of it. Otherwise, bring it to the Overeem's this week. If you are able to volunteer some time at the market, contact Sonja.
Irish Events
The performance group outdid themselves this time. All eighteen dancers reeled across the stage at the Southern Maryland Celtic Festival and provided the audience with a delightful show. Kate was the emcee, filling in from time to time with some singing; Bill was hanging our banner and managing the music; Bobbie was passing out capes and sashes; Sonja was getting everyone in line; and, of course, Chuck and Maureen were orchestrating the whole thing. In the audience Joe, Jean, Marilyn O, Jaqie, and Matt burst into applause at the end of each dance. The performers were: Tom, Bobbie, Pat G, Emmett, Evan, Sandy, Michelle, Sharon C, Larisa, Linda, Ann Marie, Evelyn, Kate, Marie, Chuck, Maureen, Bill and Madelyn.
About Town

Another Irish bar opened its door this month, La Hinch, in Potomac. Obie and Marilyn popped in to check it out. The décor is lovely, but certainly not like a cozy Irish pub. There is lots of dark wood throughout the restaurant and bar. We probably need to have an “official” outing to get a true RKID review.
Convalescing

Chris N had a recent battle with two kidney stones. As Sharon says, he delivered "twins." He’s on the mend.
