Date: Saturday March 2, 2024 Time: 12:15 - Location: The parade starts at King St. and Alfred St. then goes east on King St., finishing at the corner of King and Lee Streets. Closest Metro is the blue line, King St/Old Town stop. Details: Alexandria boasts the first St. Patrick's Day Parade in the DC area. Traditionally, this parade is held the first Saturday in March, and serves to attract the finest entries. Contact: Obie Flyer MORE EVENTS +  Additional Event St. Patrick's Day Parade Sponsor/Host: DC St Patricks Parade Committee What: The St. Patrick’s Parade Committee of the Irish American Club of Washington, D.C. plans on gathering on the National Mall and marching to F St NW, followed by an afternoon of festivities. Date: Saturday March 9, 2024 Time: noon - ? Location: Start assembling at 11:00 AM at the Peace Monument (Pennsylvania Ave NW and 1 St NW.) and at 12:00 PM, begin walking towards the Holodomor Memorial. Details: This march will be limited to walking, dancing, etc. No floats, cars, or motorized vehicles will be allowed. From 12:00 PM onward, live music and Irish dancing will take place throughout the afternoon at Kelly’s Irish Times and the Irish Channel. 10 Fairfax City Parks & Rec: Ceili Sponsor/Host: Fairfax City Parks & Rec What: Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with Irish Social dancing. It will be the only ceili in Northern Virginia. Dancers of all levels are invited to step onto the dance floor to live music by the Shepherds Pie Ceili Band. Date: Sunday March 10, 2024 Time: 3:00 PM - 5:30 PM Location: Blenheim Civil War Historic Center, 3610 Blenheim Blvd. Fairfax, Va. 22030 Details: Fees $12/adults, $6/12 years and under (must be accompanied by an adult). It is best to wear light shoes (no tap shoes). Experienced dancers will be on hand to guide beginners.
